After Snapchat turned down Facebook’s $3 billion takeover proposal in 2013, facebook has been instilling Snapchat’s features in its 2014 acquired messaging app. The latest being Snapchat stories, where you can add doodle and text to your image (which will be called Status) and it will vanish in 24 hours. However, this update is available for testing and too on Whatsapp’s beta version.
This week, Whatsapp rolled an updated version for iOS which supports GIFs and its not same as what Twitter is offering (pre-made GIFs). With new feature, you can not only share GIFs from Giphy and Tenor, but you can convert your own 6 secs (or less) video clips to GIFs.
You can edit the length and add filters, doodles, emojis and even text to GIFs. The new updates are available on iOS devices and are soon to be rolled out for android devices.
